Summertime

Most part of my June'13 spent this way:

Food x Friends x Family x LOML
x Food x Food x Food (pretty obvious)

School is starting in less than 3 weeks and I'm not excited about this coming semester's timetable :( Hope that bidding will be a breeze as per usual and I can find the one last module that complements my core mods schedule!

Travelogue Part X: Day 22 - 25 (London)

Zoomz, I'm finally at the last part of our Europe Trip 2013 - back to London! Closed the loop, and last three days in Europe. Stayed at the same b&b apartment as we did in the beginning of our trip, back to the Camden area. We were so frustrated and worried when we couldn't get hold of the b&b host when we've reached London that late morning. Thankfully he finally answered the call after 1232141th time, and it appeared that he just woke up...at around 11am? However he only wanted us to check in at 1pm ._.

Since we had extra time and the weather was so cold (boohoo), we decided to have a rest in a Starbucks we passed by. Some hot drinks to warm ourselves. Then finally to drag our luggages to our b&b. This time round, we stayed on the top floor :O lug luggage time~ hahaha. After settling down, it was finally time for lunch!

R brought me to try this Fish n Chips that was supposedly one of the better ones. I find it mehhh! Kind of too dry for me :b

Walked around the Camden neighborhood and R decided to pamper me and splurge on a customized sterling silver necklace for me :') HEHE it has got my name, and I requested for a star to end it off :) Love it so much, thanks dearie ^^

Later in the afternoon we went to the SOHO/Chinatown area.

Bought cupcakes from the hummingbird bakery!

Then we went to Chinatown, Four Seasons Restaurant, to have some Asian food after so longgg. WE ORDERED A FEAST.

Pekking Duck, which was awesome!

Enjoyed the meal very much, until it got a bit overwhelming...

*covers face* TOO MUCH FOOD. and these weren't exactly delicious.

Their famous roasted duck.....which I dislike/hate.

It was torturous finishing up the meal and it felt like the most uncomfortable and unhealthy meal, EVER.

So somehow I honestly disliked London while we were there. All I ever did was to chant to R the whole entire day about how i dislike the city.

At least the hummingbird cupcakes cheered me up. Had these for breakfast the next day :D

And suddenly, the gloomy weather turned for the better. I think the chanting works. WHEEE perfect day for sightseeing!

Walked through the park

Buckingham Palace area

Towards the Big Ben

London Eye, resemblance to Singapore flyer = 97%

London red telephone booth.

And we decided to catch a musical! MAMA MIA :D bought the tickets, then off we go to shop at Primark - Oxfords Street.

After shopping, we went to our fav korean restaurant (again, refers to travelogue Part I where we first visited!) and this time round, we re-order the spicy beef soup, and ordered a kimchi fried rice to share!

LOVE the fried rice.

Because we were such pigs, we also ordered a kimchi pancake, soooo good :3 hehehehe om nom nom. loves.

After we've satisfied our stomach, it was time to head back to Novello theatre for our musical!

The show was fantastic! love the mama mia songs and most of them sounds familiar because I've watched  the movie before ^^ After the show ended, nearing 11pm, we efficiently bought water from Tesco express nearby and hopped onto our bus back towards Camden!

Had an enjoyable day and night and I liked London slightly better :)

The next day!

Costa coffee to start our day!

Then off we go to Borough Market, with aims to get the rock oysters once more before we leave London.

OH YEH, ordered 6 big rock oysters this time round, so they were as spectacular as the previous time. SO SO GOOD. I love how the taste of the ocean lingers in my mouth. DAMN GOOD.

Also grabbed a cup of coffee at monmouth. Retarded incident because dearie rejected the offer to buy a cup of coffee after we'd bought the coffee beans (didn't have to queue if we've bought the beans, but he thought that since we've drank costa earlier on i won't want another cup), and I was unhappy because I wanted to try. Then we decided to join the longgg queue of people waiting to buy their coffee, just so that I can get a cup to try. Barbarian girlfriend 1, Obedient Boyfriend 0. Thankfully one of the employees noticed us and allowed us to skip ahead of the queue since we bought the beans. YAY WINNER.

After Borough market, we went over to Canary Wharf!

London Docklands

It was windy hahaha

After canary wharf, we headed back to oxford street area, to get tax refund from primark, and then, lunch againnnnn at the korean restaurant. We are such devoted fans.

Kimchi fried rice and bimbimbap!

Nian gao!
Satisfying meal again :)

After that, we proceeded on with shoppingggg

Here's the boy lugging a hugeeee bag of food from M&S, since canary wharf (haha oops) and our new clarks shoes! YAY.

Spent the rest of the day along their shopping street, and headed to selfridge to get Pierre Hermes macarons for my daki

Bought a dozen of it!!

After a tiring day of shopping, all we wanted to was to head home asapz. Bought our dinner along our way back, bang bang chicken. Their version of cai fan, just with chicken as the main meat. hahaha was so good! And they were so generous with the amount of food given

Beautiful Camden Lock.

Went back and indulge in Magnum!! Bought a box of three and they cost SGD 0.80 for one full sized magnum. Where to find in Singapore??

So we had fun picnicking in our room with bang bang chicken, chicken wrap (so huge), and magnum. HAHA too much food once again, we are such gluttons. And that wraps up our last night in London.

The next morning we got up bright and early, packed our luggages, went out for a morning stroll and realized that almost nothing is opened for business yet. Nua-ed and finally it was time to get our butts to the airport. Stopped by for a cup of coffee thinking that we had extra time to spare. Ended up panicking that we'll be late because we still had to do tax refund at the airport!! HAHHA, thank goodness my worries were unfounded (most of the time, I'm too much of a ganchiong worrywart with my greatest fear being unpunctuality).

Did our tax refund, checked in our luggages, and off we go. GOODBYE LONDON, GOODBYE EUROPE, HELLO SINGAPORE (but first, Dubai for our transit)!!!

At the Dubai airport waiting for our flight back home :)

So that marks the end of our 25 days long Europe trip together :')

To dearest dearie: Thank you for being such a wonderful travel buddy in those weeks, multitasking several roles - being the most wonderful boyfriend giving me surprises even as we spend every single day together, being the travel guide reading maps and making sure we don't get lost (so proud of us we didn't get lost at all this entire trip), being the counsellor when I'm stressing up and feeling unhappy about things, being the free porter carrying all our shopping loots and helping out with my luggages, being the doctor when I was sick feeding me with medicine and taking extra care of me. Thanks for being the boy who has the highest tolerance level when facing me HAHA, you're the most awesome. Love you so much teehee ^^
